Compare two 22mm full sclera cosplay lenses: Bloody Zombie's horror detail and 20% visibility warning versus Cartoonist Eyes' clean, wide-eyed look and free lens bundle.
Quick answer
Choose Sclera Bloody Zombie 22mm for a horror or zombie cosplay where the blood detail is the point, and accept that it blocks 20% of your vision. Choose Sclera Cartoonist Eyes 22mm when you want a clean, oversized cartoon look and a free extra pair of color lenses instead of a visibility warning.
The visibility trade-off is the deciding factor
The Bloody Zombie listing states a 20% visibility obstruction and explicitly says not to drive with them on. That is not a small footnote: it changes where and how long you can wear the pair. Cartoonist Eyes has no comparable visibility warning in the supplied catalog facts, so it is the safer default for events where you need to move through crowds, read signs, or handle a phone.
If your zombie cosplay involves a staged photo set or a short convention appearance, the Bloody Zombie obstruction may be manageable. If you plan to wear the lenses all day, the Cartoonist Eyes pair is the more practical choice.
What each pair includes changes the real cost
Cartoonist Eyes comes with a free 22mm case and a free pair of color lenses of your choice. Bloody Zombie includes a free sclera case, a free pair of color contacts, and free shipping. Both bundle a case and a bonus pair, but only Bloody Zombie lists free shipping, so compare the delivered price rather than the sticker price alone.
Neither listing supplies an option list for prescription power or base curve alternatives, so do not assume you can order these in a custom prescription. Treat both as non-prescription cosplay lenses unless the store confirms otherwise.
Match the lens to the character, not the other way around
Cartoonist Eyes is a blank, wide white canvas with a 22mm diameter, so it reads as exaggerated cartoon or anime eyes rather than a specific creature. Bloody Zombie carries a horror-specific blood design, which limits it to zombie, undead, or gore-themed costumes.
A full sclera cosplay lens at 22mm covers more of the eye than a standard circle lens, so both options are statement pieces. If your costume already has heavy makeup or a mask, the simpler Cartoonist Eyes design keeps the focus on the rest of the look.
Key trade-offs to weigh before you buy
- Visibility vs. horror detail: Bloody Zombie gives you a blood-specific zombie look but blocks 20% of your vision and is not for driving. Cartoonist Eyes gives you a clean cartoon look without a stated visibility warning. If you need to see clearly for photos or navigation, pick Cartoonist Eyes.
- Bundle value vs. shipping cost: Both include a free sclera case and a free pair of color lenses. Only Bloody Zombie lists free shipping, so factor delivery into the final price. Compare the delivered total, not just the lens price.
- Character specificity: Bloody Zombie is tied to zombie or gore costumes. Cartoonist Eyes is a blank cartoon canvas that suits many anime or cartoon characters. Choose Bloody Zombie only if the blood design is central to your costume.
